- The nymphs in ancient Greek folklore are female nature deities, regarded as personifications of na- ture. The four repeated heads allude to the four subgroups in which they were divided: Meliae (ash tree nymphs), the Naiads (freshwater nymphs), the Nereids (sea nymphs), and the Oreads (moun- tain nymphs).
- The upper part is characterized by a more hu- man-made physical setting. Though solid colors with no contour, emerge geometric elements as that of arches, columns and stairs.
